The North Davidson Storm Drainage Improvement Project will replace aging storm drainage infrastructure at the intersection of North Davidson Street and East 27th Street. This project includes installation of a large 14-foot-wide box culvert, more than 100 feet long, underneath North Davidson Street. Rapid urban development and changing climate are bringing along more frequent rainfall events, placing the existing urban drainage systems (UDS) under greater stress. One of the effects of this trend on urban areas is the increase of stormwater peak intentsities during rain events.
