Put truck back in park and check level with dipstick. Should be full cold-if not add fluid. WebSep 4, 2024 · You would have to remove the transmission to drain it properly. They just want a full amount of fresh fluid in the trans. Don't bother trying to drain it. The internal filter generally doesn't get changed because its rather coarse filtration. Better than a rock catcher, but it really doesn't load up unless you have an internal failure.
