WebSep 17, 2006 · Front tires rubbing After changing my front brakes from drum to disc,I now have tire rub when I turn left or right . Especially if I turn quickly. It rubs on the top outer edge of the tire, right where the inner fender bolts to the outer fender. The wheels are 15x7 stock rallys with 235/60/15 tires. Maybe rims with more backset or narrower tires? WebDec 4, 2010 · I can see the marks of the rubbing on the drivers side front tire. Doesn't seem to happen when I turn the wheel all the way to the left... Not sure if this is common but a friend told me you can have the area around the tire "shaved" to avoid rubbing.
