WebMay 16, 2011 · Just took home a brand new Steyr M9-A1 pistol and took it to the range on Sunday. Ran into a problem that seems to be more or less common with these pistols. Was hoping some people on NES might know a thing or two about it, and hopefully a fix. Ran about 50 rounds through the gun, and in that 50 rounds, had three failures to extract. WebWWW.STEYRCLUB. WebMar 30, 2012 · Ergonomics. The Steyr M9A1 fits my hand very well. I really like the high palm grip, as it makes the pistol ride very low in the hand. Having said that, if you are used to shooting more conventional guns like 1911s and Browning High Powers, the Steyr may point high for you so you may need to do a little retraining. You are not going to break that pistol. The newer models have a standard accessory rail and redesigned trigger guard, sans manual safety I believe.

WebApr 8, 2024 · After lunch I headed to my range , picked up 100 rounds of 115 FMJ, took the pistol apart, sprayed her down with CLP, worked the action, loaded up the mags and the fun began. My observations are as follows: The steyr is a natural pointer, it felt like a target pistol. The texture is very good, and the ergo's were spot on. XD sights will work, but the base of the dovetail has to be filed slightly to fit.
